Antarctic Krill
What is Krill Meat?
Antarctic Krill, with a scientific name Euphausia Superba, are small crustaceans 10 – 65 mm in length. They are harvested in the pure pristine waters of the Antarctic Ocean. Our freshly caught krill is cleaned and processed on board our factory vessel within 3 to 4 hours to maintain maximum taste and nutritional value.
Rich in a multitude of vitamins, minerals, astaxanthin and omega 3s, krill is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. To add to its health benefits, krill is known to have the highest source of protein with a digestibility rate of 96% – 97%. This is 21% higher than the digestible protein in other meat sources, making krill the superior protein source. Krill meat can be used as a primary or complementary ingredient in several recipes including dipping sauces, salads, spreads, soups, pizza, sushi, burgers and more!
